Changeit Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy

Changeit adheres to both international and local regulations to prevent illegal activities and implements effective internal procedures to properly implement Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.

1. Verification procedures

1.1. Identity verification

Changeit may require users to undergo verification, which may include providing reliable documents such as an international passport or bank statement, to meet AML and KYC policy requirements.

If a certain user is suspicious, Changeit may request additional documents confirming identity.

For individuals:

To confirm identity, the user may be asked to provide one of the following documents:

  • internal passport;

  • International passport;

  • ID card.

2. Transaction monitoring

Changeit verifies users by verifying their identity, as well as analyzing their transactions. Changeit uses data analytics to assess risks and detect suspicious user activity.

As part of the AML/KYC policy, the company may monitor all transactions and reserves the right to:

  • request additional information and documents in case of suspicious transactions;

  • suspend or block the user's account if there is reasonable suspicion of illegal activity.

This list is not exhaustive, and transactions are monitored daily to determine their suspicious origin.

3. Risk evaluation

Changeit checks transactions for risks using AML services, which complies with international requirements. A transaction may be rejected if the overall risk exceeds 50%. The company may also refuse to provide services if the risk exceeds 1.5% in the following categories:

  • Dark Service: Coins associated with child abuse, terrorist financing, or drug traffic;

  • Dark Market: Coins that were used for purchases on the dark web;

  • Scam: Coins obtained through fraud;

  • Mixer: Coins that have been mixed to make them more difficult to trace;

  • Illegal Service: Coins associated with illegal activities;

  • Ransom: Coins obtained through extortion or blackmail;

  • Exchange Fraudulent: Coins from exchanges associated with fraud or illegal activities;

  • Stolen: Stolen coins;

  • Gambling: Coins associated with illegal online casinos.

In case of a high risk transaction, the user must pass KYC verification to verify their identity. After that, the funds will be refunded minus the fee.

Changeit reserves the right to:

  • Request additional information about the origin of digital assets;

  • Block the account and transfer information about the incident to regulatory authorities;

  • Request documents to confirm identity, video verification.

  • Return digital assets only to the accounts from which the transfer was made, after checking the legal origin of the funds;

  • Refuse to withdraw funds to the account of third parties;

  • Hold funds until the investigation is completed;

  • Monitor the entire transaction chain to identify suspicious transactions;

  • Refuse to provide services if there are reasonable suspicions about the legal origin of the assets.
